Data protection regulation
When you access and use TEB’s websites, depending on the type of use, various information about your PC or other terminal device such as a smartphone with which you use the website (hereinafter: your “system”), your person and your usage behaviour is transmitted to TEB. In the following privacy statement, we explain what information and personal data this is and how we use it.
But the most important thing at this point: A sensitive and responsible handling of your personal data is for us an elementary component of a serious and customer-oriented business activity. The principle of data economy is of great importance even at the data collection stage. We guarantee that no personal data will be passed on to unauthorised third parties without your consent. For the collection and use of your personal data, we follow a code whose key points we would like to inform you about with this data protection declaration. If you access the contents of our website via external websites which are not offered by TEB itself but by third parties (e.g. via affiliate partners), this declaration does not apply. 1. What is personal data?
Personal data is all information about personal and factual circumstances of an identified or identifiable natural person (§ 3 paragraph 1 BDSG). This includes information such as your name, address and telephone number. Personal data does not include information with which you cannot be identified, such as age, gender or vocational training.
2. Type, scope and purpose of data processing

If you use TEB’s website without prior registration or login, i.e. if you visit TEB’s websites, we only collect the information required to deliver the Internet pages you have accessed to your computer. In addition, we collect some data to improve security and performance, as well as data that is required by law. The data collected for the aforementioned purposes includes the IP address assigned to your computer, the name and URL of the requested file and the date and time of the request. Although these may allow identification, they are only stored for as long as it is necessary for technical reasons or for special reasons, e.g. for evidence purposes in the event of misuse or illegal use, or as required by law.

Only when you register to use a service does the system request various data required for the performance of the user relationship or participation, e.g. name, address and contact data. The bank transfer collected during registration to verify the user account is used exclusively for this purpose and is not used for advertising purposes.

TEB creates anonymous user profiles in order to improve the Internet offer. This does not allow conclusions to be drawn about the individual user. You can object to the use of your data for this purpose at any time.

Our website uses Piwik, a so-called web analysis service. Piwik uses “cookies”, which are text files stored on your computer, to help us analyze how users use the site. For this purpose, the usage information generated by the cookie (including your shortened IP address) is transmitted to our server and stored for usage analysis purposes, which serves to optimize our website. During this process, your IP address is immediately anonymised so that you as a user remain anonymous to us. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website will not be disclosed to third parties. You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser, however please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website.
If you do not agree with the storage and evaluation of these data from your visit, you can object to its storage and use at any time by mouse click. In this case, a so-called Opt-Out-Cookie is stored in your browser, which means that Piwik does not collect any session data. Attention: If you delete Cookies than this has the consequence that also the Opt-Out-Cookie is deleted and must be activated again by you if necessary.
3. Cookies
3.1.
A cookie is a text file that a website or webserver sends to your browser to store on your system as an anonymous identifier that your system recognizes, but not you personally.
3.2.
You have the option of setting your browser so that it informs you in advance when you receive a cookie, so that you can refuse to receive the cookie. You can also completely deactivate the reception of cookies via your browser. However, this may result in some pages no longer functioning or functioning only to a limited extent.

If you log out properly, the session and permanent cookies set by us will be automatically deleted by your web browser depending on its settings. If you close the browser without prior logout, only the session cookie will be deleted, but a permanent cookie set at your request will be retained. However, permanent cookies are automatically deleted or invalidated in any case after the expiration of the validity period of one month.
4. Forwarding personal data to third parties / address and credit checks

We also reserve the right to obtain information about the user from third parties in order to verify the address data entered or the creditworthiness of our users. For this purpose, the information collected during registration about the name or company, the address and, if applicable, the date of birth is transmitted to a credit bureau or other information service, which uses this data to check the validity of the address or the creditworthiness of the respective user. The credit bureau is obliged to protect your data. In the event of non-contractual processing (e.g. termination due to default of payment, requested default summons in the case of undisputed claims and enforcement measures), we can also forward information on personal data to the credit bureau. The respective data transmission and storage shall only take place if this is necessary to safeguard the legitimate interests of TEB or the general public and if this does not impair the interests of the user worthy of protection.
